Due to the recommendation of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to convert the electronic Air Waybill (e-AWB) into the default transport contract for all air cargo shipments on authorized commercial routes, Ateia Oltra convened user seminars in Madrid and Barcelona. PORTEL LOGISTIC TECHNOLOGIES attended these seminars to present its Air Freight Solution (AFS) platform, whose ultimate goal is to implement a Cargo Community System (CCS). This step will result in the total digitization of air transport, whose main step is to manage the Air Waybill (e-AWB), the FHL, the transport order and the arrival notice in electronic format.
Once again, Ateia Oltra became a meeting point for PORTEL with several potential freight forwarding companies, not only from Spain but also from other countries in which PORTEL is present, given the importance of the digitization of air transport.
It is important to point out that 2018 has been a year of great reception for the AFS solution by the airfreight forwarding companies, since currently PORTEL already has major representative clients of the sector, such as Consignaciones, Tránsitos y Transportes Internacionales S.A. (COTRANSA); Aduanas Pujol Rubió, S.A. (APR); CACESA Forwarding & Logistics; Vit Air Cargo, S.L., Plaza Forwarding, S.L.; Liberty Cargo; Space Cargo and most recently, Mar y Tierra Cargo Express de Nicaragua, S.A. (MT Cargo Express), in the delegations of Madrid and Barcelona.
All this is due to the fact that PORTEL‘s AFS platform responds to the need to get the most out of the electronic data exchange by offering a range of safe, simple and profitable solutions and services for air transport operators. The main virtue of this platform is allowing all operators to comply with safety regulations and therefore work more efficiently, integrating the customs administration in the process. Another differentiating value of the AFS platform is the first-level technical support offered to its customers 365 days a year, where you can call or email to clarify any doubts or incidents that may arise.
PORTEL is constantly working on the analysis and development of future innovative solutions that can be commercialized. Along the same lines, new connections are also being maintained between the AFS platform and the most competitive ERPs in the market such as VisualTrans; Bytemaster; S4; TaricTrans; among others. It should be noted that AFS also adapts to any ERP system typical of freight forwarding companies.
During this last year, PORTEL has managed to position its AFS platform more strongly in the market, giving rise to a great acceptance by its customers. In addition, PORTEL will not cease to believe and work to enter into new commitments with freight forwarding companies in order to achieve a common goal: The digitization of the airport logistics chain.
