Since PORTEL joined GTD last February, the possibilities for its growth have multiplied. In this new phase that PORTEL is launching, traditional services are still being provided, and reinforced with more and better means. Jorge Torrent, CEO of PORTEL, Daniel Merino, Sales Manager, Sandra Mena and Leticia García of the Sales Team, are visiting most Ports in order to explain the new stage of the company in depth.
In various sales visits that have been carried out by PORTEL in recent months, PORTEL managers have explained their intention to continue in the same line of expertise and objectives that define the company. Consequently, Port Managers and Systems Managers have thereby learnt about new business opportunities, new and strengthened Departments of Innovation and Consultancy and other international projects that are currently being developed.
One of the strategic lines with the highest expectations is the improvement and consolidation for the solutions of the Port Community Systems (PCS), and soon to be available. Thanks to the new generation of PCS, ports will be able to improve their efficiency and competitiveness. It will also allow Ports to become True Smart Ports. Following the line of technological solutions that improve the efficiency for the management of different ports, Levante Paperless Systems (Levante Sin Papeles, LSPE) has been well acccepted. It is a standardized digital communications platform that streamlines management of exports.
The international expansion of the company has also attracted the attention of different Port Authorities that have been visited. PORTEL is expanding its port and airport services to other places such as Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.
So far, PORTEL has already visited the Port Authorities of Castellón, as well as different ports in Galicia such as Marín, Villagarcía, Ferrol, and the Management Agencies for Autonomous Ports of Galicia, Alicante, Huelva, Málaga, Almería and Tarragona.
It is foreseen that the rest of the Ports Authorities will be visited in June and in the following months, until most ports that make up the Spanish Port System will have been visited.
