Since its beginning, PORTEL has identified itself with commitment and quality in the field of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) within the logistics industry, specifically in the port sector. Both values are a constant in the day-to-day operations of the company and a referent when it comes to setting objectives.
As a result of this commitment, in 2011 PORTEL was granted the quality and quality management certification ISO 9001, as well as the ISO 14001, the international standard for environmental management. Due to a continuous desire to improve, in 2014 PORTEL obtained their third quality standard certification, the ISO 27001 for information security.
Since obtaining the three certifications, PORTEL works continuously on its improvement policies in order to renew and certify them every year. In 2017 the improvements took on special importance in the scope of data safety and virus-based cyber-attacks. For this, the company collaborated with other great corporations of the maritime community.
Currently, the quality teams at PORTEL and GTD keep working together to adapt and improve the quality systems’ processes and tools. This way, their clients can benefit from the sum of the experience of both PORTEL and GTD.
